Membership

JOINING THE CLUB

The Scottsdale Model Railroad Club, with a membership of 30+, is open to new members. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced modeler, you are welcome to join.

The Club is affiliated with the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA). All voting members are required to be a member of the NMRA and must maintain a current NMRA membership.

Prospective members pay a $25 initiation fee and must attend at least eight work sessions plus two business meetings before being considered for membership. Upon approval by the membership and payment of dues, Senior members are provided full access to the Club facility.

The following types of membership are available:

	Senior - Is 18 years or older, resides in Phoenix area, pays dues of $10 a month
	Seasonal Senior - Is 18 years or older, resides in Phoenix area for only 3 to 6 months a year, pays dues of $15 a month
	Junior - Is 16 to 18 years of age, pays dues of $5 a month
	Family - Is 12 to 16 years of age, child or grandchild of a Senior member, pays no dues

The Club meets Wednesdays from 7 to 10 PM. The monthly schedule is:

	First Wednesday is a business meeting
	Second Wednesday is usually an operating night, alternating between standard and narrow gauge
	All other Wednesdays are work sessions
	Sundays members operate trains for the viewing public
